Natural Organic Skin Care Love Your Skin

By Kerry Fielding

Organic skin care is the most natural method for taking care of and improving your skin. The use of organics have been used by man for skin care for centuries. Organic skin care is not only better for your skin, but can be less expensive. The use of organic natural products will not only improve the look of your skin and keep you looking younger longer, it can also prevent many skin disorders.

These use of fruits and vegetables is very common in many organic skin care routines. Cucumber is one of the most popular produce used. Apples, ginger, and papya are also used widely and have a very refreshing revitalizing effect on the skin. Almost every skin care book has a chapter on the use of organics for skin care and can be used to develop a routine of your own. Always try to use fresh organically grown fruits and other produce for your skin and avoid trying to save money with bad rotten produce.

Many products on the market today list milk as an important ingredient. That is because milk is known to have very good natural cleansing properties for the skin. When combined with the rough texture of ground oatmeal, milk becomes a very good skin cleanser. Ground oatmeal is especially good for very oily skin and when combined with other items like honey and fruits, makes a very good organic cleansing skin mask.

Wheat germ, another great organic product, is high in vitamin E and is used both as an exfoliant and a moisturizer. Wheat germ oil is also a widely used product in facial masks when combined with other organic products.

From rose water for skin toning, to honey for that golden glow, the use of organics on the skin is very beneficial and popular. When used properly these organic products will leave your skin looking great and also keep more money in your wallet.

Rosacea Remedy Cucumbers

By Vicky Massey

Back in 1597, John Gerard, a famous English herbalist, talked about the healing properties of cucumber, recommending that eating a soup made with cucumber and oatmeal three times a day would combat a fiery and pimply complexion. Since then there has been much anecdotal evidence to suggest that this much used vegetable is helpful in reducing the facial redness and swelling of rosacea. Here I will look at why cucumber is a cool remedy for rosacea and how to apply it to the skin.

History of cucumber

Cucumber (cucumis sativus) enjoys a long history, being one of the oldest plants known to humankind, cultivated in southern India for the last 4,000 years or so. It is even mentioned in the Bible (Numbers 11:5) where the children of Israel, when leaving Egypt, lamented that they remembered the fish, cucumbers, melons, leeks, onions and garlic that they had ate freely. The Greeks and Romans were also apparently fond of cucumbers and it has remained a popular vegetable ever since. Since Victorian times the English upper classes have served cucumber sandwiches for afternoon tea and even today the Queen of England serves them at her garden parties at Buckingham Palace.

Benefits of cucumber

Cucumber is an ingredient of many creams and lotions because of its astringent, cooling and moistening properties. Their flesh is primarily composed of water, but also contains vitamins A, C, E and caffeic acid, all of which help to soothe skin irritations and to reduce swelling. This is why placing cucumber slices over the eyes helps to reduce swollen eyes. The outer skin contains beneficial minerals including magnesium, potassium and silica. Silica is an essential component of healthy connective tissue which is important to maintain clear and radiant skin.

How to use cucumber for rosacea

There are various ways you can apply cucumber to the skin to help reduce redness and swelling of the face. The first recipe is to puree several slices of cucumber and combine the puree with two to three tablespoons of natural yogurt. Apply to the face, like a face mask, lie back and leave it to work for approximately ten minutes. Wash off afterwards with cool water.

Another method is to simply place whole chilled cucumber slices over the affected areas for ten to fifteen minutes to reduce swelling and redness. This would be particularly useful for anyone suffering with ocular rosacea.
Next let's look at a remedy that is said to have been used by Cleopatra to improve beauty and could be helpful for rosacea. Slice a whole cucumber and mix it with half a glass of cream, add one spoonful of olive oil, honey and mud and mix together. Nowadays, you can mix all these ingredients in a blender and then put the mixture in the refrigerator to cool. Make sure your face is clean and then massage the mixture into the skin, allow it to dry and leave it for as long as comfortable. If you want to try this recipe, I would suggest using manuka honey (extremely beneficial in healing skin) and Dead Sea mud (full of minerals).

As you can see, the humble cucumber is not only good to eat in salads and sandwiches, but has soothing and cooling properties, all beneficial in treating the symptoms of rosacea.

The Causes Of Acne And Preventions

No one like acne it is unattractive and annoying. Beautiful skin is hard to maintain when you are faced with occasional acne problems. You can use the best anti-aging creams, but it won’t solve your constant breakouts. There are many things that can cause pimples to surface. With just a few methods your could end your skin problem.

Causes of acne breakouts

Many may not know this but sweating is just one of the causes of breakouts. When you sweat your pores tend to clog up, bacteria builds and there goes a pimple. Washing your face will keep it clean but it won’t stop the bumps from occurring. Perspiration happens often during the summer months. To prevent acne or to slow down the breakouts, use a deep facial cleanser.

A deep facial cleanser will open up the pores and allow your skin to breathe. Then, it will improve the appearance of your face and make it more refreshed and settle. Wash your face as soon as you are done working out, if you sweat a lot wash it at least 2 to 3 times a day and wipe with a astringent or facial toner.

Stress can set off acne too. When you are stressed out your immune system can get out of control and cause illness, infections and pimples. So if you get strained a lot, take a break. Take time to relax, find a way to relieve stress by doing yoga, taking a long bath or a walk.

Sometimes PMS has something to do with breakouts. Hormones go crazy during your cycle and make you crave chocolate, causes cramps, bloating, mood swings and occasional acne problems. Keep you a acne face wash to keep skin clear and eliminate them.

Another thing that can make you have bad skin is heredity. If you are cursed with this you have to dig a little deeper to get rid of acne. You might need to see your dermatologist to decide what step is needed to solve your facial acne.

Foods are good, but the type of food you eat can affect your skin. Consuming a lot of junk food can clog pores and create inflammation to your skin. If you are a fan of sweets, cut down on them because they are not good for your health or your beauty. Switch to fruits and add more veggies. Also fruit juices and sugary beverages are bad as well they contain too many carbs and sugars.

If you suffer from forehead acne it could be your hair. Your hair has lots of oils and moisture in it. Wearing a hair bang will add oil to your forehead, clog pores and cause pimples. Try changing your hairstyles every so often.
Dirty pillowcases contain saliva that is full of bacteria. When you lay your face on it, it gets on the skin and causes bacteria to grow onto the skin. So, if you drool a lot, change your pillowcases every day.

And last but not least, make-up will make you have acne. If you don’t wash the cosmetics off of your face at the end of the day it will clog pores and then eventually give you pimples. Important, make sure to wash all traces of make-up from your face to keep your skin clear and beautiful. Use a deep facial cleanser.

Care For Skin: Rosacea Signs and Solutions

Of all the pain and indignities that come with Rosacea, few are more debilitating than going through your day with a red face.

Rosacea stings. The itching. The prickling heat. But the embarrassment of being constantly seen with that redness, and the fact that it usually hits the one area of the body that you just can't hide the face is just too much.

You can take some consolation in knowing that you're not alone. An estimated 14 million Americans suffer from rosacea, including some prominent figures. Bill Clinton, Mariah Carey and Rosie O'Donnell. Do those names ring a bell? They're all prone to rosacea.

According to the National Rosacea Society, 74% of rosacea sufferers have cancelled social events because of an outbreak. That's a shame. More than that, it's unnecessary.

Rosacea Relief Serum is a scientifically formulated and highly effective solution to rosacea. There is no cure for rosacea, but there is relief. The makers of Rosacea Relief Serum believe you can minimize the symptoms of rosacea and prevent outbreaks in the first place with a little knowledge, self-awareness and good planning. And in this article you learn exactly how to do that, and why Rosacea Relief Serum is the best way to minimize and ultimately banish rosacea completely.

To begin with, let's take a closer look at some common symptoms of rosacea. They include:
  • flushing
  • redness
  • bumps and pimples
  • visible blood vessels
  • eye irritation
  • burning or stinging
  • dry appearance
  • skin thickening
  • swelling

Note that these symptoms don't always appear and once, but an outbreak will always include at least one of these symptoms. Of the millions of Americans who suffer from rosacea, many are unaware that they're susceptible. You're more at risk for rosacea if you have fair skin and are prone to blushing. Rosacea occurs more often in women than men, but hits men with greater severity.

Rosacea primarily affects the face, with redness on the nose, skin, cheeks and forehead. Occasionally it will appear on the back, neck or chest.

While the cause of rosacea remains unknown, several theories exist. One theory is that rosacea is a disorder of the blood vessels. Another is that rosacea is an impairment of the connective tissues under the skin. In any event, we do know many of the factors that trigger rosacea, including:
  • sun and wind exposure
  • emotional stress
  • hot or cold weather
  • heavy exercise
  • alcohol consumption
  • hot beverages

Solutions for avoiding a rosacea outbreak? There are several. The obvious ones are to avoid these triggers. Sometimes that's possible, and sometimes it's not. You can't control the weather, but you can control your alcohol intake, or of hot beverages. You can use stress management techniques to manage stress. And you can limit heavy exercise.

Having said this, it's not always practical to avoid rosacea triggers, nor is it enjoyable if you like coffee or the odd glass of wine. Moderation helps of course, as does your basic physiology. If alcohol triggers your rosacea outbreaks, use discretion.

You might also do well to seek medical advice. A doctor can prescribe medications that reduce rosacea symptoms. Sometimes these are effective. There are also surgical procedures, in which doctors remove the blood vessels responsible for redness in the nose and face. Emerging technologies involving lasers might help as well.

A less intrusive method, however, that's just as effective and more affordable, is Rosacea Relief Serum. Scientifically formulated with the latest in skin-care technology, including Renovage, which is clinically proven to reduce symptoms of rosacea in 90% of patients, Rosacea Relief Serum reduces redness, inflammation, spider veins and the embarrassment that comes with them.

What's more, Rosacea Relief Serum is specially formulated for people with hyper-sensitive skin, meaning it won't trigger an outbreak. You'll also find Rosacea Relief Serum may prevent outbreaks from even starting. All this without the need for a doctor prescription and the inflated bills that go with it.

Rosacea Relief Serum reduces the symptoms of rosacea and makes people feel good about their skin, their face, their life. Combined with the self-awareness of the symptoms and triggers of rosacea, it's an effective, unintrusive and affordable way to a rosacea-free life!
